the great and terrible shoe fiasco

tonight was a perfectly normal thursday night. We ate delicious hamburgers,during which the first odd event happened...i spilled greasy greasy hamburger juice on my Hawthorne hieghts T shirt, it's odd because i never spill anything on myself...theres nothing there to catch the food (if you get what i mean). I was amazed. after dinner we all piled in the truck to take Ben and Megan to their karate practice. after we kicked them out, we went to the closest StarBucks and well got some drinks, i drank a caramel frappacino which was quite tasty. Then it happened, my father decided to take us shopping for a pair of sandals that he needed. mel and i thought it was be okay, no big deal right?just sandals...no, not just sandals, THE perfect sandals. We didnt even know they existed. They so do! We drove down and over to the shoe store, and commenced in the fun! Dad has a routine where once he's tried the sandals on he has to jump in them, jog in place and walk around....every time. the first sandals he tried on he liked alot, but he still wasnt sure about them so he tried on another pair...they were a complete mistake. as soon as his foot touched the soft suede material he made this face that said he was completely disgusted, he rubbed his bare foot on the carpet as he told us how the shoe made him feel like he had stepped in a loogie. Eww. He tried on a few more, did his rutine, rejected every one until there were no more sandals left and the first pair were the only ones he was truly interested in. Mel and I kept him focused on those sandals until we reached the chechout thing and had made it out of the store safe and sound...it was truly amazing, and interesting...one day i will make a documentary on the strange habbits of the male species. Just kidding but that would still be cool. The END!!!
